helping with set up and breakdown, manning exhibit areas, serving free lemonade and popcorn - plus much more!

Transylvania County's 150th Anniversary Volunteer Program offers unique opportunities to participate in and support the county's celebration of our history, heritage, and future.
With the variety of volunteer needs for our 150th Anniversary, you can: work with children and/or adults; work in the public eye or behind the scenes; work special events that serve our community; or share your skills and learn new ones.

Current Volunteer Needs:
150th Anniversary Party Volunteer Needs:
Party Volunteer Coordinator:
Description: Do you love volunteering? Are you great at managing people? If so, then you'd be the perfect person to coordinate our volunteers for our 150th Anniversary Party. The Volunteer Coordinator will be in charge of working with the Anniversary Party Committee/Producers to coordinate the in-take, orientation and management of volunteer captains and volunteers for the 150th Anniversary Party.
Marketing/Promotional Volunteers:
Description: If you have experience with public relations, graphic design and marketing - then we'd love your help with a variety of elements for our 150th Anniversary Party! We've got a marketing plan in place - and we can use some great local talent to volunteer to help us promote the 150th Anniversary Party.
Prop Design/Event Design Volunteers:
Do you love to build things - or do you have a penchant for design? If so - We'd love to put your great skills to use. We'll be building a variety of elements for our 150th Anniversary Party to celebrate our history, heritage and future. Help us recreate elements of our past for our party by volunteering to do some prop construction/designs.
Day Volunteers for the Anniversary Party:
Description: If you're looking for a great way to plug in and truly immerse yourself in celebrating the history, lore, and heritage of our county, then join us for a few hours to volunteer for our our day-long celebration. There will be plenty of opportunities to participate: set-up logistics, welcome/orientation guides, bingo callers, children's activity volunteers, ticket takers, servers, etc. Just let us know you'd like to help out - and we'll contact you directly to find just the perfect activity that you'd enjoy working on!
Evening Volunteers for the Anniversary Party:
Transylvania's Anniversary Celebration continues into the night - with a spectacular multi-media presentation and fireworks display. Come help us with elements/logistics of the evening program. You'll be a part of one of the most magical nights of Transylvania's history!
